William A Waterman started a sheet metal shop San Jose
to provide for his education.

Operations were moved to the San Joaquin Valley to serve
a growing agricultural market.

1912 |
William Waterman formed the W A Waterman Company.
Waterman's first product was developed to control irrigation
water in citrus orchards. |

1930 |
Waterman expanded its business with the acquisition of
(i) Argo Vine and Sill Co.
(ii) Master Equipment Company (Red Top line of business).
Waterman now employed 30 people in its manufacturing operation.

William A Waterman passed away. William's son Herrick
Waterman acquired control of business.

1947 |
Waterman
built a large gray iron foundry to expand its manufacturing
capabilities.

1950 |
Don Appling (Herrick's son) became CEO and created a new
vision for the Company.

1951 |
The Company incorporated as Waterman Industries.
|
| |
1953 |
Waterman
Industries built its first cast iron canal gates. Shortly
thereafter, it followed with the fabrication of Radial
and Slide Gates.

1963 |
Waterman won its first contract for furnishing Cast Iron
Sluice Gates for use in water and waste-water treatment
applications.

1969 |
Waterman Industries built a large manufacturing facility
in Exeter, CA.

1970 |
Don Appling became president and transformed the company
from a small domestic business into a global enterprise.

1995 |
Waterman introduces the Aquatic Water Filter Systems to
its growing catalog of agricultural products. |

2001 |
The
fourth generation of the Waterman family acquired Waterman
Industries when Don Appling retired. His two sons, David
and Ken along with his son-in-law, Randy Mullins bought
the Company.

2004 |
Failed growth strategies forced the reorganization of Waterman Industries, Inc. A successful turn-around was accomplished.
|

2006 |
Waterman Industries, Inc. was acquired by Galena Water LLC and reincorporated. Galena provided the capital and guidance necessary to assure Waterman Industries’ future success. Galena recruited a world-class management team with many years of successful industry experience to further guide Waterman’s return to industry leadership.
